Cookie policy
Optional cookies measure which resources are used and whether our free Google ads reach the right people. None are used to personalise ads or follow you around the web, and nothing optional is stored until you choose to allow it.

Before you choose
Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising storage are switched off. This is not a formality: the site loads with all measurement consent denied by default, so no analytics cookie is written and no identifier is created. Google still receives a cookieless signal that a page was viewed, without any identifier, which it uses only for aggregate modelling. Choosing “Essential only” leaves it that way permanently.
Analytics and ad measurement are provided by Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads). If you accept, Google receives data about your visit and may use it as described in how Google uses data from sites that use its services. We have switched off ad personalisation, so this data is used to measure our own pages and ads, not to target you with advertising. We run ads only through Google’s free programme for non-profits.
Why the two buttons look the same
Because they should. Accepting and declining are equally easy, equally prominent, and neither is pre-selected. A consent banner that visually pushes you towards “accept” is not consent, and we are not going to run one.
Changing your mind
Clear this site’s stored data in your browser and the banner will ask again on your next visit. In most browsers this is under privacy or site settings, by searching for this site’s address. You can also block cookies entirely — the site works normally without them, since nothing here depends on analytics.
What we never set
- Cookies for ad personalisation, retargeting or remarketing.
- Social media tracking pixels.
- Cross-site identifiers or fingerprinting.
- Any cookie inside our free tools — they run entirely in your browser.
